Expressive Digital Tools for Elementary Math Education
Description
This video provides a tour of several digital tools that support students in exploring the basic concepts of multiplication and division. They are part of a tablet-based software system called Classroom Learning Partner (CLP), which allows students to use a tablet pen to create and manipulate mathematical representations and wirelessly send them to the teacher. The complete history of students鈥� interaction with the computer is saved along with the final representation and is thus available for analysis by teacher and researchers.聽CLP聽also performs automatic analysis and sorting of students鈥� work to help teachers choose appropriate examples for class discussion.
